Herrington’s is pleased to announce that Danielle Robertson, AKBD a Kitchen and Bath Designer at Ed Herrington, Inc. was the recipient of the Best Bath Design Award at the 2nd annual New York Tri-State NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Assoc.) Design Awards on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at the Holiday Inn, Saratoga NY.

Danielle has over 10 yrs. experience as a Kitchen and Bath Designer at Herrington’s, and has been an NKBA AKBD (Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer) since 2005. Danielle’s design was chosen out of a field of 108 entries and 35 nominees. The judging panel included representatives from the NKBA, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Capitol Region Home Builders Association (CRHBA).

The builder of the project was John Cromwell of Egremont, MA. Danielle worked closely with the Homeowner and the Builder to achieve an intimate and elegant bath setting. The customer chose custom Crystal Cabinetry made of Maple wood in a French Villa Square door style in full overlay. The finish is Frosty White Signature Paint with Butterscotch Highlight. The vanity top was created out of Blue Bahia Granite.

“Anne had a vision in mind and we elaborated from there. To frame the sink areas, we added a wall on the right side, included a center wall cabinet between the sinks and added crown molding above it all giving the sink areas a cozy feeling” said Danielle. “The curved cabinet fronts were chosen to accent the curved wall niches surrounding the tub area. The homeowner also requested a vanity area where she could sit, relax and feel like a queen while getting ready! The design includes taller bun feet with hand applied gold foil accents to add elegance to the space.”

“Danielle has a great eye and terrific design knowhow. We are excited for Danielle and proud of all of our Designers who were nominated in NKBA Kitchen and Bath Award categories. Now it is no longer a secret that you can find inspired design talent right here at Herrington’s in Columbia County, NY and Litchfield County, CT” said owner of Ed Herrington, Inc.
